My name is Sierra Smith, my artist handle is WolfsBaneArt. I am from Alberta, Canada. I am in the Visual Arts & Media Academy, where I am able to expand my skills and knowledge of the arts. I wanted to try branching out in different mediums and also get in the habit of doing something creative every day to keep practicing my skills. As well, I wanted to use VAM to help reignite my passion for the arts after not drawing for a while. So far, this program has been very beneficial to me. I really love realistic illustrations/paintings of animals. It is something I try to achieve while incorporating themes of animals, nature, life, death, and psychology. The themes tie into each other really well, and making a good piece with those themes can be very impressionable. I would like my art to be a conversation starter and allow people to really think about the themes and meanings behind each piece. Other than those, I also really enjoy creating fanart for movies, video games, and books. I think they allow me to keep practicing art but still enjoy the process. In the future, I think it would be a dream job to be able to do art full time. That way I can keep creating and showing others my work to enhance it career wise. Although I still want to do art for myself besides only doing it for business reasons. If I keep being passionate about art and keep practicing, I’m sure I will be successful in more than one way.
